What is the differences between drugstore makeup and MAC, NARS, ETC makeup?

i want to get a cream one from Smashbox, but im afraid its the same thing


and i have like 4 foundations already from drug stores


what to do? and the differences between them?

Some drug store makeup is good, but it's really tricky to find somthing that your going to go back for more





Nars is top nocth in my book I have two Nars blush and a lip color blam stuff in Hell fire love it.

It's a lot to do with name actually. But a lot of products live up to their name. The different really is that at Sephora, MAC, high end counters ect... there is professional make up artists there and they can can try it on you to see if you like it. Where at drug stores its basically buy without trying or without knowing exactly what you need. That is the only different I see.
smashbox, mac and nars are genearaly more well made. however, they all last equal amounts of time and usually work the same quality, but it depends on how which drugstore ones you've bought... some aren't as good as others. i would buy the one from smashbox when you've used your drugstore ones up.

i just think they are much better quality....they are more pigmented and last longer..i think they are worth the extra $$$.
