Is NARS cosmetics line good?

I am thinking of buying their lip gloss and foundation etc.





Is it good? and if so what products from that line do you reccommend specifically?Is NARS cosmetics line good?
I don't like their foundations - they're too heavy for me. However, their eyeshadows, lipsticks and lip glosses are heaven! Loads of pigment, gorgeous colors and they're just so hot! They are VERY expensive - like one step down from Chanel pricing. I have a single eyeshadow from them called 'Night Breed' (a sparkly black) that cost $22.





Word to the wise about their lip glosses - they are VERY sticky. Apply lip balm underneath and the stickiness feels much decreased.Is NARS cosmetics line good?

yes, its a little pricey but very much worth it. i own a few eyeshadows and blush from there in orgasm (its one of the best colors ever!) their lipgloss is also veryyyy nice.

yes it is, also there is a ton of product in that box! it will take you forever to run out! but the colors are slightly different, coralista is a brighter corally color and orgasm is more peachy.

nope! wish they did. but if they did i couldn't afford them:) oh i love Nars! but to be honest i love love love my mac %26amp; nars %26amp;lorac eyeshadow but my coastal scents palate that has 21 eyeshadows and 5 blushes is the one that I am in love it. check them out if you want. Mac is the only one that has the palates with 15 in them, but you buy everything separately so it can add up also.

i usually use drugstore brands too. but i got a gift certificate and used sephora foundation and powder which actually worked really well, it covered EVERYTHING but despite the coverage it felt like my face was always caked with make up no matter how little i put on. it went far so it lasted a long time but the oil base made it feel gross and urban decay makes some AWESOME colors for eye shadow. i admittedly splurge on their eyeshadow and sometimes sephora eyeshadow just because of the colors. i usually just buy what ever is cheapest at the drugstores though. always maybelline mascara and i used rimmel stay matte pressed powder this last time and im in love with it i think. for eyeliner i just buy it from hot topic cuz its like 2 bucks and it goes on well...its just really soft and melts easy and sometimes breaks when you sharpen itBest Makeup Brand: NARS, MAC, Sephora, or Urban Decay?
I like intensely pigmented shadows with shimmer in them. no shimmer, i don't buy. Considering how chalky cheap shadows are, they def don't suit my needs. I like using 3 colors on my lids, blending is a must, and i found that cheap stuff never cuts it. i dont think any one brand is an end all, so i'll list my fav for that company.

Too Faced- i have fallen head over heels for the mascara. little bit of length, little bit of volume, touch of curl and the tiniest amount of separation= sexiest lashes on earth!

out of those choices, urban decay. nice texture of eyeshadow. variety of color choices. lasts long. but i use lots of different brands, including drugstore brands. i do a natural look using drugstore eyeshadows and eyeliner. i only use drugstore mascara (almay is my absolute favorite even after trying toooonsss of expensive ones). but when i have a chance to splurge i will get a new fun little makeup palette at sephora. usually it will be a glittery set of colors for nights out. oh and i dont wear lipgloss often so i get covergirl for that.

Nars is such a great makeup brand, I haven't disliked anything I've used unless it just wasn't my color. I love the lovejoy blush! I feel like this is the best eyeshadow out there next to Chanel. Easy to apply and easy to blend! I recommend buying eye duos or palettes. It's a better value that way.

Try success or first bite. I didn't see any nudes that were matte enough. Their nude colors were mostly all sheer, and I think for a nude lip to stand out against your skin tone the more matte the better
Why don't you try Striptease (pearlized beige sheen). That sounds like a nude color with a hint of shimmer!

I've used Nars shadows and really like them. High quality, vivid color (though I have not used that particular shade but it looks like my style LOL). It is similar. The shades are not exact but the brands are different so what do you expect.

It will if you are on the lighter side. Try ';Desire'; or ';Mata Hari'; from Nars if you have medium to dark complexions for that ';slight'; pink look.

Apply a primer to your lids beofre you start appying any colour, use a concealer or something like that.


And after you have applied the colour seal it in with loose powder

Boy, I would sure hope so. But, yes, by going through NARS you will have an excellent chance of being hired by any of the Class 1s. Having said that they may be a bit hesitant to hire you right on as an engineer, even if you have become FRA certified, because besides a senority issue, each have their own methods about such.

Usually....I currently work for a shortline, where we have hired several NARS grads over the last year or two who were not picked up by BNSF or UP.....not one of them is still employed with us. I guess those who can, get hired by a Class 1. Those who don't get hired, in my experience, should never have been accepted to NARS in the first place! I've had a similar experience with recent ';grads'; of Modoc rail training in CA. Personally, I went to Clayton College and State University in Morrow GA, which has a similar program for hiring on with CSX. All of my class was hired except one, and he lied about having a DUI. If you decide to go, I don't think I'd waste the money on an engineers certification course....chances are slim to none that you will get picked up by any road as an engineer, except perhaps a desperately short handed shortline. Get the basic class, then get a job, and learn to railroad by doing it.

Milani...Luminous I think it's called. I'm not sure. But a lot of people say it's the closest thing to Orgasm that's out there. You can buy Milani at CVS!
If you have a Walmart that sells Jane products... they have a blush that is suppose to be EXTREMELY similar to Nars orgasm, except its matte and doesn't have any shimmer. It costs only a couple bucks and I can't live without it. If you go on makeupalley.com... you'll see that this Jane blush is the highest rated on there. The color is called ';Blushing Petal';. It's worth the money! Normally higher end makeups especially blushes/bronzers are better and smoother to apply.

Nars Lipglosses are pretty, but they turn rancid very quickly. I have used them before and after 2 months they smelled horrible. YSLs are super pretty and stay on for a long time.

Is anyone allergic to NARS blushes?

Every time I put it on, the next day i get a bunch of bumps on my cheeks and i rarely get acne and when I do it's in my t-zone. I use MAC, clinique and bare minerals and I've never had a problem with them. And if you can point out the problem ingredient that would be great too.Is anyone allergic to NARS blushes?

Torrid for a peachy, bronzy look or Outlaw for a pretty fresh pink look. Both have some shimmer to them, and both are pretty intense in pigment. I LOVE my nars oil free foundation! Make sure you put on a primer first though. It will reduce the pores and you will look flawless. I started using Nars about 2 months ago and people have said my skin looks flawless (but natrual). It hasn't given me any more acne than I already have and it is very good at concealing the acne I do have.





I don't have the Mont Blanc shade. But the shade can either make or break your face, so I would suggest going to a local sephora and having one of the artists there pick the right shade for your skin. Have them apply it to your face to see if you like it,

I have tried it. The last time I went to Sephora, the store associate used it on me because I told her I was looking for something simple and versatile (i.e. has multiple uses). I liked the texture and the color was really nice (Orgasm is the best color by NARS; it's flattering on everyone). You could easily pay $37 for three mediocre products that each have a separate use (cheeks, eyes, lips). sometimes your'e better off going with the high end stuff, sometimes not, it's really hard to generalise in the same way that you can't say one brand of makeup is good or bad. they all make products of varying quality. also remember that quite a few makeup brands belong to the same group for example chanel and bourjois. Often you'l find their products differ little in quality but the price gap is caused by the fancy packaging and ad campaigns for Chanel.

makeup forever hd foundation is great yes expensive makeup is better it lasts longer and just looks better after i bought a clinique product i gradually made the switch now i don't have any drugstore products its also important to have good tools i used to apply my mac powder with a cheap brush but i got a good mac brush to apply it and now it stays on longer

Yes ma'am! Got so many hooked on not just the color, but the texture of the gloss, and the brand too! A good investment overall- I recommend you don't try and find dupes but go for the real thing instead. Trust me, with summer coming up, you'll look hawt ;)

I do have the Nars and Mac blushes and use them consistently,since they have become a must-have for me, and im sure many others.





But if you are worried about breaking out from the products, I suggest you go to Sephora and try the Nars blush for a day, and if your skin develops some sort of irritating reaction or you break out the next day, then do not purchase the product. Same with MAC.

No blushes dont clog your pores, but just make sure you remove your makeup properly at night and wash your face with a cleanser. I LOVE Nars blushes over MAC they are wayy more pigmented, quality is way better (has a mirror what girl wouldn't like that?) I bought my Nars Angelika blush in January and i've still got it, its just as new and the pan is still not showing up and i use it EVERYDAY :D

I'm not sure about Mac, but Nars can harm your skin. If you look it up on skin deep cosmetic database you can see it is harmful. I recommend Physicians formula blush because it isn't harmful and gives a really nice glow. Although some say nars looks nice, it can harm you in the long haul. I advise against it! Has anyone tried Nars oil free foundation (liquid) and is it worth buying?

I am currently using Bobbi Brown skin smoothing foundation, they're around the same price. I am prone to blemishes and need slightly thicker but natural looking coverage. Yes, those are very pricey, but a little goes a long way.Those colors are very rich in quality. Mine have lasted for months! and I always used them. The main thing I love is that it never breaks me out or irritates my skin, because I have very sensitive skin. I'm not sure if your able to go to Sephora or Nordstrom, but if you can, try to test it out, before buying %26amp; have fun.

From what I have heard it is reasonably thorough, however upon hiring out you will still have to go through company training.


I didnt really ask him just what the training entailed though.





Our human resources person told me that basically, a graduate of one of these academies has an advantage over other people as it demonstrates a strong desire and committment to work in the railroad industry.





I hope they are not guaranteeing you a job when you get out, having NARS or other RR academy experience helps but most railroads still look for transfers from within the company first.

MAC is cheaper, but I find that I like NARS eyeshadows and blushes more. If you really want to collect something I'd go for the MAC though. MAC has wider varieties of products, more colors, they have unique collections that come out around once a month, and they're a bit easier to find all over the place. Their blushes are the BEST! They are very highly pigmented, as well as stay on all day/ night. I also like their eye shadows as they too are highly pigmented and wear well throughout the day. Some are hit or miss of course, as some of the lighter colors may be chalky and hard to blend, but I think it depends on the shade itself. What you want to be careful for are blushes or e/s's that have too much glitter in them. For example there is a blush called Super Orgasm, and it is glitter ball city...stay away from that one unless of course you like the glitter. Other's have subtle glitter that are undetectable, as well as some have no glitter at all, but leave you with a slight glow. I'm not into l/s or l/g's, so no comment there. Definitely give NARS a try!What are your favorite NARS products?
The blush ';super orgasm';. Its fun and it fits like all complexions. I'm a latina and have a medium olive complexion and it looks good on me too!!! It's a peachy color that has gold flakes in it. It makes my cheeks glow and like I said it feels super fun to wear. You should totally buy that stuff. I love it. I think it is my favorite color to wear. It fits all shades of eyeshadow that I wear. I don't do lipstick, but it seriously is a very cute shade of blush. And I love their cases. They feel so soft. I know, I'm a nut. :)
